1) Introduction
This Returns and Refunds Policy applies to all orders placed on kenshiblades.com.
Our goal is to provide a simple, transparent and worry-free shopping experience.
Kenshi Blades sells Japanese Damascus knives and related kitchen accessories. We want every customer to receive products that are carefully prepared, securely packed and delivered in good condition.
This policy explains how returns, refunds, cancellations, damaged items, delivery issues and customer service requests are handled for orders shipped within the United States.
2) Right to Cancel and Return Window
You may request to cancel or return your order within 14 days from the date you receive your order.

Please specify your order number and the item or items concerned.
Products must be returned in their original condition, complete, unused, undamaged and in their original packaging, within 14 days after notifying us of your return request.
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, except in cases where we made an error, the product is faulty, damaged on arrival, or the wrong item was sent.
3) Items Excluded from Returns
Returns may not be accepted for the following items:
- Custom-made or personalised products
- Engraved knives or products personalised with a logo, name, initials or custom marking
- Sealed items that cannot be returned for hygiene or safety reasons once opened
- Products that have been used, washed, sharpened, installed, damaged, altered, or are incomplete
- Products returned without their original packaging, accessories, protective covers, box or included items
- Products damaged due to misuse, improper cleaning, improper storage, accident, impact, rust caused by poor maintenance, or normal wear and tear
Japanese Damascus knives are precision kitchen tools. Damage caused by dishwasher cleaning, soaking in water, cutting bones or frozen food, cutting on hard surfaces, improper sharpening, or incorrect maintenance is not considered a product defect.
4) Return Procedure
Please send a return request to contact@kenshiblades.com including:
- Your order number
- The product or products concerned
- The reason for the return, if you wish to provide it
- Photos or videos if the item is damaged, defective, incorrect, or if the packaging arrived damaged
You will receive a confirmation email with instructions and the appropriate return address depending on your product and location.
Please do not return any item before receiving return instructions from our customer service team. Items returned without prior approval may not be accepted.
Return the product in solid, secure packaging to avoid damage during transport.
Keep the proof of postage and tracking information until the refund is processed.
5) Refund Timeframes & Conditions
Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will issue a refund for the eligible product if the return is approved.
Refunds will be issued within a maximum of 14 days from:
- The date we receive the returned item, or
- The date you provide valid proof of postage for the return, where applicable
Refunds are issued using the same payment method used for the original order, unless agreed otherwise.
Please note that your bank, card issuer, or payment provider may require additional time to post the refund to your account after it has been processed on our side.
Refunds may be refused or partially reduced if the returned item is used, damaged, incomplete, missing packaging, or shows signs of misuse, washing, sharpening, wear, alteration or improper handling.
6) Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items
If an item arrives damaged, defective, or does not match your order, please contact customer service within
14 days of delivery:

Please include your order number, a clear description of the issue, and photos or videos of the product and packaging where relevant.
In such cases, return shipping costs are fully covered by Kenshi Blades, if a return is required.
Depending on the situation, you may choose between:
- A replacement item, or
- A full refund
In some cases, we may also offer a partial refund or another suitable solution, depending on the nature of the issue and the condition of the product.
7) Shipping, Delays or Lost Parcels
For orders shipped within the United States, our usual delivery process is:
- Dispatch time: 3–7 business days
- Delivery time: 5–7 business days after dispatch
- Estimated total delivery time: 8–14 business days
Dispatch time refers to the time needed to process, prepare, inspect, pack and hand over your order to the shipping carrier.
Delivery time begins once your parcel has been dispatched and handed over to the carrier.
Delivery timeframes shown on our website or communicated by email are estimates only and may vary depending on order preparation, product availability, shipping conditions, carrier delays, weather conditions, peak seasons, customs checks where applicable, and final delivery scheduling.
If a customer experiences an unusual delay or believes their order may be lost, they should contact our customer service team so that we can investigate the situation and provide an appropriate solution.
A parcel is not automatically considered lost simply because it is delayed. In some cases, we may need to wait for the shipping carrier to complete an investigation before confirming whether a refund or replacement can be issued.
Any cancellation, return, or refund request relating to a delayed shipment will be reviewed based on the specific circumstances of the order once the delivery status has been fully confirmed.
